Update No. 2 from the Administrator

October 27, 2026

To the unit owners of the condominium corporations under administration.

This is my second update as Administrator. It covers health and safety, the Shadow Board elections, the search for property managers, keys, tenant information and leases, how to contact my office, building insurance, and November payment instructions. I will send further updates as the work progresses.

1. Health and safety

Health and safety concerns in the buildings are being addressed as quickly as possible. Owners and residents have reported a number of issues, including buildings with zero elevator service, and each one is being reviewed and acted on in order of urgency.

We are in contact with local contractors to address, on a priority basis, Make Safe Orders, building heating, garbage disposal clearing, pest management and urgent elevator repairs.

Emergency health and safety concerns only should be reported through the Emergency Service Request form on antman-administrator.ca. Reporting through the website lets us track every request from start to finish. This form is for life-safety emergencies only: fire, flood, no heat, no water, elevator entrapment or structural danger. Routine requests sent through it will be redirected and delayed.Emergency Service Request form

5. Tenant information and leases

The Administrator DOES NOT have information from the Trustee regarding tenant rents, leases or agreements. Tenants and owners should direct all questions about tenants and leases to AlixPartners, the Proposal Trustee in the SIREG insolvency proceedings. Please email Isaiah Crystal at AlixPartners at isaiah.crystal@alixpartners.com.

6. How to contact my office

All future correspondence must go to my office at info@antman-administrator.ca, or through antman-administrator.ca for emergency reports. This lets my office track every message and respond in order.

Emails sent to any other address, including my old Gmail address, will not be answered. Do not use any personal email address for me or any former contact at SIREG.

Please include your corporation name and number, building address and unit number in every message. I will respond as quickly as I can and will use these updates to answer common questions.

As reported in Update No. 1 (section 3), the insurer agreed in writing to extend the building policies for the six Kipps Lane corporations and Niagara South Standard Condominium Corporation No. 145 to November 17, 2026. We will continue to send them this week as they are received from the insurance companies.

9. November payment instructions

IMPORTANT: Payment of Condominium fees. Owners must pay condominium fees to their own corporation. Fees continue to be due on the first of each month, including November 1, 2026.

How much to pay? Please pay the amount for condominium fees paid on your most recent fee notice. We will account for and make necessary adjustments in due course.

New bank accounts for the 27 corporations are being opened but will likely not be ready in time to service payments by November 1.

For your November Condominium Fee remittance, fees will be collected through the trust account of my lawyers, LDDC Lawyers, and remitted to each corporation's account once it is open.

Option 1) Payment by e-transfer (preferred): Please remit your payment to payments@lddclawyers.com, only from the owner's bank account and specify:

  • Corporation Name and Number
  • Unit Number
  • Your Name
  • Condo Fees 2026-11

Note: If you own multiple units, please pay each payment separately.

Interac Security Question: Condominium Fee Payment

Interac Security Answer: November

Option 2) Payment by cheque: You may also choose to remit your payment by a cheque payable to "LDDC LAWYERS IN TRUST".

Please specify on the cheque or with an accompanying letter:

  • Corporation Name and Number
  • Unit Number
  • Your Name
  • Condo Fees 2026-11

You may drop off the cheque in person or mail to our offices:

Cancel any payments to SIREG. If you have a pre-authorized debit, post-dated cheques or any other standing payment arrangement with SIREG Management Inc., The Simple Investor or any related company, cancel it now and ask your bank to place stop payments on any outstanding cheques. SIREG has no authority to collect condominium fees or any other amount from you.

Many owners had fees paid out of the SIREG rental pool and may not know whether their account is current. Any arrears from that period will be reviewed and addressed with owners in the coming weeks. You do not need to do anything about this now, and it will not affect your right to vote at the upcoming meeting (see section 2).

Where to pay, and where not to pay. Payment instructions will come only from antman-administrator.ca and from my lawyers, LDDC Lawyers. Do not send any payment to SIREG, to the Trustee, or to anyone else who contacts you about fees.

The only payment addresses are the two above and on antman-administrator.ca; anything else is not from me.
